“The creation of these intricate marbling patterns is extremely difficult to achieve, and it doesn’t stop there. Icons, textures, verbiage and other enhancements were added to bolster the art offering and separate The Art of Marbling from the generic pattern-based artwork readily available in the marketplace,” explains Marty Segelbaum, President of MHS Licensing.

“Manufacturers confirmed our direction in developing a more robust portfolio. Licensees have been lining up to leverage Heather’s expertise.” Segelbaum continues, “With a variety of marbling designs available in hundreds of color combinations, every licensee can have a unique look while still benefiting from the overall trend’s popularity.”

Heather Fletcher of HRJ Design Studio, is a master marbler who has apprenticed with some of the most renowned marbling craftsmen in the world. Her portfolio includes hundreds of patterns with fascinating movement and stunning colors.

Manufacturers in multiple categories have recognized the potential of The Art of Marbling and have partnered with the art brand and its beautiful one-of-a-kind designs.

Siscovers introduced The Art of Marbling™ licensed futon covers, curtains, pillows, and quilts as well as bedding ensembles including comforters, bed skirts, sheets and duvet covers at the Las Vegas Gift Market and High Point in 2019 and those items are now available at your favorite dotcom and other major retailers soon.

Northcott Silk previewed a line of licensed The Art of Marbling designs on cotton fabrics for the quilt, craft and home décor markets at the Houston Quilt Market in October. During the show Heather was demonstrating the technique used in creating her stunning designs in tandem with signing her new “how-to-book” which was released by Fox Chapel Publishing in October. The highly rated book for the do-it-yourself enthusiasts features a variety of The Art of Marbling designs and different techniques for everyone who shares the love of creating things by hand.

Additional licensees including Galleria Enterprises, Boston Warehouse, Indigo Falls, Laural Home, Manual Woodworkers and Weavers have also partnered with the popular marbling brand, a trend spotlighted by trend leaders such as Saks Fifth Avenue and New York Times.

Marbling is an ancient art form dating back to the 11th Century coined by Zen monks for its meditative process. Today’s marbling has evolved and these mesmerizing designs are created using floating paints, handmade tools and then carefully transferred to paper.
