Artist Pat Gamby draws inspiration from her farm... literally.

Pat Gamby loves to use egg tempera in her paints, a difficult medium but the eggs are handy as they come from her own chickens.

Making her debut earlier this year at the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market in January, artist Pat Gamby and her portfolio of rural life was a tremendous hit with manufacturers. “It’s always exciting for us to introduce new artists; they pour so much into their paintings and preparing their portfolios for these shows.” Marty Segelbaum, President of MHS Licensing continues, “Seeing everyone’s reactions and hearing such positive feedback from our licensing partners only makes those introductions that much more rewarding.”

With no formal training and an obvious talent, Pat Gamby began to take her painting seriously when she and her husband struggled to make a go of farming. She quickly discovered that her paintings sold almost as readily as the milk their Ohio dairy farm was producing. Pat loves to use egg tempera in her paints, a difficult medium but the eggs are handy as they come from her own chickens. Drawing inspiration from her picturesque surroundings, countless paintings of rural life and animals began flowing from her brush.

“We are well aware of the demand for new artwork by our manufacturing partners and we strive to offer the best licensable images to the market. The talents of Pat and her untapped portfolio are an excellent new source of supply,” says Segelbaum. “Her paintings are available for licensing on a wide range of products from stationery and puzzles to home and garden decor.”
