MHS Licensing loses a talented artist and dear friend

It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of award winning wildlife artist and Vietnam veteran James Meger. James died of cancer on August 25, 2011 and is survived by his wife, Laurene; and daughter, Elise.

While the terrible disease may have taken him from his family and friends, his unique spirit that touched so many, and his beautiful wildlife paintings will remain forever. It was truly a privilege to work with James for so many years and our hearts go out to his loved ones. Anyone who was lucky enough to spend time with James will tell you that he was an interesting man with numerous accomplishments and was successful doing what he loved. We are all deeply saddened by his death.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune ran a wonderful article about James and can be read here: James Meger, painter of ducks and wildlife

James was an important part of MHS Licensing and he will be forever missed. Memorials preferred to N.C. Little Hospice (www.littlehospice.org), CaringBridge (www.caringbridge.org) or a charity of your choice.
