Tim Nyberg's "Rusted Nova" to decorate the set of ABC's Desperate Housewives

MHS Licensing artist Tim Nyberg's "Rusted Nova" was recently chosen to decorate the set of ABC's Desperate Housewives. The stunning abstract was originally painted as a square 13" acrylic on canvas to live jazz at Nyberg's G42 (Gallery 42) studio. The reproduction selected for the show will be 40-by-40-inch work printed on stretched canvas for the highly popular television show.

"It's not a lot, but it does offer some pretty cool bragging rights and looks good on the resume," said Nyberg. "Hopefully this will help draw attention to my abstracts and demonstrate how they are being favored in current popular decorating trends."

Best known as one of “The Duct Tape Guys,” and co-author of the highly successful series of Duct Tape books, Nyberg is a human perpetual motion machine of creativity. He paints, writes, draws, designs; commonly at the same time. His work ranges from whimsical humor to abstract and objective photography.

In addition to licensing his designs, Nyberg also sells his originals online at the Fine Art America website www.fineartamerica.com through which "Rusted Nova" was selected. Nyberg has enjoyed success with his own line of cards, magnets, prints, mugs, and other small gift items sold from his website and his retail store and gallery in Door County, Wisconsin. He gets regular customer feedback which has helped him understand the market and current trends.
