Rebecca Stoner

Based in the beautiful City of York in the UK, Rebecca has been working professionally as a Designer since 2005, creating patterns, illustrations and artworks for client’s products such as fabric, homewares, stationery and even laser cut metal.

Rebecca originally worked in administration and accounts roles after leaving school but always being creative and constantly feeling the need to express her creativity, she knew deep down it just wasn’t for her. So she made the huge decision to leave her job and take some time out to go traveling, where she realized she had to pursue some kind of career that would fulfill her creative needs.

On her return, Rebecca enrolled on an Art and Design degree, specializing in Surface Pattern Design and has never looked back.  Rebecca set up her own business straight after graduating in 2005 and has been working with companies to help create the perfect designs and artworks for their products ever since!

Rebecca nearly always starts her designs by hand, either drawing, painting, working with fineliners, colored marker pens and even collage, and she’s also recently discovered a love for watercolor.  She then takes these initial artworks onto the computer to develop them further.

“I would say my style is quite organic, can be detailed and often delicate, although I am not afraid to go bold when it’s needed!"

Rebecca continues, "I love color and I enjoy spending time experimenting with different medium. I particularly love the process of working with a client to create designs that help bring their products to life.”

As well as designing for products, Rebecca also works regularly with the NHS in the UK to create artworks that help to enhance the Hospital environment and hopefully improve the experience of those visiting, staying or working in the space.  You can find out more about these projects and the rest of her work over on her website here
